A Pair of Shoes Can Change Your Life Forever...Just Ask Cinderella!
Like I said before, it all starts with a fairytale.
Once upon a time there was a shoe addict...
But then, eventually reality jumps up and smacks you in the face.
...with hundreds and hundreds of FAB shoes, however; one day there was a sale on Jimmy Choos at her favorite mall but on her way there her car broke down. And she forgot her AAA card, the tow truck guy got lost, the only rental car she could get was a sub-compact with hardly any trunk space without a backseat and by the time she was able to reach the store all the shoes were SOLD OUT, ahhh.
Luckily for us Ladies, there's always an escape route right in our very own homes. Nothing and I do mean nothing can make Me feel better than putting on my favorite pair of shoes. Now, I know what you're thinking, there are a lot of things out there WAY better than shoes. And for some people that's absolutely right. But putting on my favorite shoes won't add to my waistline, they're calorie free. It's a guilty pleasure I can handle. Trying on my special heels may leave me intoxicated with joy but there's nothing illegal about that. "Sorry officer, I was driving under the influence of stilettos." And for shoe addicts like me and even some plain old, everyday shoe owners there's that one pair of exceptional shoes that will always put a smile on our faces and give us that boost of whatevers missing at that particular moment. It's the Cinderella syndrome. We all remember her famous glass slipper.
OK, so, we might not have a prince waiting for us after we try our shoes on, but we can have the happily ever after part. There's that same flutter in the bottom of your tummy when you slide your feet into the perfect pair of sandals, the awe you feel when that spectacular slingback makes you feel like strutting around the room and the naughty smile that crosses your lips when those sexy stilettos (my fave) in the back of your closet start calling your name. Ask almost any woman on the planet and they'll tell you which pair of shoes they own gives them that extra kick, whenever they need one. They know exactly where they are in their closets. They can tell you when and where they bought them. They will know immediately what outfits go best them and they will never EVER part with them. And if anything ever happened to those precious shoes, I (they) would be crushed.
So, what I want to know is, "Do you have a special pair of shoes that make you feel like you could conquer the world? Or are you like me and there's more than one pair that hold a special place in your heart?
